One impressive example of Geneva's splendid edifice is the St. Peter's Cathedral that has been standing in its regal glory since the 12th century. It is a confluence of several architectural styles as those of Gothic, Romanesque and Neoclassical. St. Peter's north tower is also the best place to get a fantastic overlooking view of the city.

There are also several impressive museums in Geneva. One of which is the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum where you'll find various expressions of art. There are sculptures, films, photography and art installations for you to study and appreciate. It also features a praiseworthy exhibit that provides sightseers a significant glimpse at the value of human rights and consequences of its abuse.

Geneva also has some of the widest and most beautiful public gardens in Switzerland. Aside from perfectly manicured lawns and shaded walkways, there are also plenty of sculptures adorning these parks for the visitors' enjoyment and pleasure. Some parks worth seeing include the Bastion Park, the English Garden and the Park Moynier.

One of the more remarkable Geneva sights is the Jet d'Eau or the Water Fountain. It is one of the grandest and tallest in the world, projecting about 140 meters at 200 km per hour. You have to see it during the evening because it looks fantastic with colorful illumination as the background.

To fully immerse yourself in culture, I suggest giving Place Neuve a visit. It is where you'll find some of Geneva's most impressive architecture. Most importantly, it is home to the city's Grand Theatre and Conservatory of Music where you can witness some of the most tastefully exquisite musical performances you'll ever see.

Finally, Geneva is not all about beautiful structures and impressive cultural exhibitions. It also features the tourist favorite Plaine de Plainpalais or the Flea Market. It is buzzing with excited energy especially during Wednesdays and Saturdays. Get ready for some serious haggling because you can be sure to find something you'd like to buy from among the antiques, paintings and vintage clothing, books and records to name a few that are displayed for ready sale.
